Evidence strong governance and learning cycles
Why honesty matters
In our experience, practices that proactively identify their own gaps and demonstrate a clear remediation plan are viewed much more favourably during inspections. Regulators focus on your commitment to improvement, not current perfection.
Do you maintain a live risk register covering clinical, operational, and information governance risks with identified owners, mitigations, and review dates?
Update the register at least quarterly and after significant incidents. Risk register should cover: clinical safety, staffing, estates, IG, financial, and reputational risks.
